Yes, this is old but I'm catching up (and needed a new journal entry).

I got accepted to the Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design. I'm very happy. I've been "considering" going there since I was in high school. I tried last year and didn't make it. This year, I'm in. Yay!

I was tagged by ... Never really done one of these things so.. here goes.

Rules:
1. Post these rules.
2. Each tagged person should post 8 aleatory facts of themselves.
3. Tagged people should write a Journal/Blog about these facts.
4. In the end, tag and name 8 more people.
5. Go to their DA pages and comment saying that they are tagged and hugged

Erm.. lets see.. aleatory means relating to good or bad luck.. but especially bad.. but these may end up being just random facts having nothing to do with luck.

1. It's been 8 days since I last smoked. God helped. *non-jinxing victory dance*

2. I secretly still get sad that nobody cared at all about my 25th birthday, except for my parents, who took me out to dinner. It's totally dumb, because I'll be 26 in 2 months. Yes, it was that long ago and I still think of it (occasionally). I don't want to care, but it's a quarter century. Friends..?

3. I started getting grey hair when I was 23. It makes me excited.

4. I've been downloading movies and music without a second thought for at least the last 5 years. Then suddenly two days ago I start feeling guilty?

5. I just bought a shiny new iMac and I'm excited to make stuff on it! (a bunch of macro pics on the way!)

6. Every time I drink out of a juice box, I have an innate fear of sucking up a maggot.

7. I love dreams and unravelling them and admiring their silly ways.

8. On sunny days sometimes I cry because they are bittersweet. They remind me of my grandpa, who is deceased.

I've been wondering as of late if I should create a separate deviantart account for my photos, and keep this one purely for artwork.

It seems to me that people either like my photos, and don't care much for the artwork.. or they like the artwork, and don't care much for the photos.

I used to really enjoy having one page that was a jubilee of various styles and types of art.. all mediums together like one big happy family in one easy to access place. But now I wonder.

I'd love to hear people's thoughts and suggestions (not that there's many who will read this)!

I am currently in the process of adding all my old photographs from 2004, which seems to have been my most productive year on record. I found a CD that had all this stuff on it that I never posted. So I feel I owe it to my 2004 self who was too self conscious at the time.

I also just got a new sketchbook, so I'm going to be going through my old one and added a lot of stuff from there, most of it will probably go to scraps.

Hopefully I'll be getting some recent stuff up, but first I have to CREATE the recent stuff!
